CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES AT LE CAVE – 2008
Le Cave had tons of fun in 2007 in their first year of being open to the public. We were busy! And still are in 2008! We participated in the “Best of 417 Party” in February, the “20 Under 30" shindig in May, and a fabulous cigar tasting at Just For Him in Springfield. We will be at the Rocheport Stroll in Rocheport, Missouri on September 20th for those of you planning to attend - we’ll see you there!
Farm chores are just about caught up and the vines are looking good, so now it’s time to have some fun and PARTAAAAYYYYY!!! So here’s what’s happening....
June 26th - SHRINE LADIES dinner - As always, we welcome our ladies, and look forward to a great time. If you haven’t made your reservation, call the winery and we’ll take care of it for you!
June 28th - BEACH BASH!!! “Lucky Boyz” will be playing at the vineyard again! They are one of our very favorite bands, so please come join us! Bring your favorite picnic, sunscreen, and beach towel, and prepare to enjoy the lazy days of summer!
Fourth of July weekend - YES, we’ll be open on Friday, July 4th. We’re even doing fireworks at dark! This is a very special holiday, so come enjoy! Something’s up on Friday, but we’re not telling...you have to come see! The band will play on Saturday (see next)....
July 5th - “Soul Witness” will be returning for Saturday afternoon music, fun and frolic, so plan on celebrating the holiday at the vineyard with us!
August 16th - THIS IS IT - THE SHINDIG OF OUR YEAR - We’re having a LUAU! This is an all day affair, so be there! We’re roasting a pig, wearing grass skirts, leis and tacky Hawaiian shirts - so wear yours or we’ll furnish you with a grass skirt and a lei! Start loosening up that backbone right now for the LIMBO contest! The band will be swinging and we’ll be dancing (the hula, perhaps???). There will be a cover charge for this event of $5.75 to cover food, but that’s it - so put this one on your calendar!
LABOR DAY WEEKEND - We will be open August 29th through September 1st to celebrate the holiday - that’s Friday through Monday, so please stop by and sample our wines!
September 13th - Oktoberfest BEGINS! Live music and celebration of harvest, look for new wine releases and prepare to enjoy - and watch FOOTBALL upstairs on the widescreen maybe???
Oktoberfest will continue until the end of October, culminating in our ...
HALLOWEEN PARTY - Saturday, October 25th (we know you’re taking your kids trick or treating on the 31st!) This year, the theme is “Pirates of the Caribbean” - Ahar, mateys - dress the part and let’s have some fun!
This isn’t all, but it’s what’s scheduled at the time of this writing. We’ve found a fabulous harpist that we hope will come out to play for us this summer, and a few new bands we hope to get on the schedule, so just call us if you want to know what’s going on in the vines!
