HAPPY SPRING,
YA'LL!
Wow, isn’t
it great to see everything turning green? I noticed the change in color in the
vineyard just yesterday – a just barely perceptible soft green shyly peeking
out of the ground. I thought this winter would never end, and here on the
vineyard we all have a massive case of “cabin fever”. While the snow was
pretty, this Southern gal is ready for warmer weather, balmy breezes and sunny
days in the vineyard. How about you???
So…let’s
get started! Welcome to the 2010 season at Le Cave! This year, we have
decided to do our part to boost the economy. After much thought and
discussion, we have re-priced our selection of wines so that you can enjoy
without punch to your pocket! Our revised price wine menu is on the
website – so go find your favorites and get ready to enjoy the savings!
We are
gathering our gloves and boots and tools and waiting for the vines to “wake
up”. The entire famdamily is here this season and we are so happy – Blair and
Vicky are back from Georgia (HOORAY!). Rae and Troy are here and we’re going
to show that Yankee the ropes this year (what fun – initiation of a new
vineyard person!). The “grands” get to ride on top of the pile as we take the
cuttings to the burn pile (they love that!). Captain Jack, Luke and Boone are
all fat and need to get some weight off! And we’re just itchin’ to get moving
and welcome another year of production at the vineyard.
Larry has
great wines ready for your tasting pleasure, and a few new selections will
soon go into bottles – as always, he’s loving the crafting of dessert wines,
and WOW! He’s talking on his page, so go take a peek at “Vintner’s Notes” and
catch up on the latest.
Le Cave
Vineyards and the Ozark Mountain Wine Trail will be participating in two GREAT
festivals early this year, both during which we will be able to sell our
wines! April 24 and 25th, we will be at Chateau on the Lake in Branson
for the second annual Missouri Food & Wine Festival. We had so much
fun last year, and this year will see more food and wine vendors and lots of
special booths that have been added. So make plans to join us – it’s on our
calendar and you can get all information at mowinefest.com.
The second
festival is the Pierce City Arts & Wine Festival in Pierce City on June
12th Pierce City has specifically invited the Ozark Mountain Wine
Trail to participate and we will be pouring and selling our wines on that day
– what fun! New friends to share our wines with! Great artists and their
work will be on display and it’s a wonderful “Americana” atmosphere in Pierce
City – put this one on your calendar too and come spend the day with us!
We’ve
updated our calendar – our 3rd birthday celebration over the
Memorial Day weekend, a “Spring Fling” with the LUCKY BOYS on June 6th
– all are listed there. As always, call for an appointment during the week,
or visit us on the weekends, and we look forward to a great season and seeing
you SOON!
A votre sante
from Le Cave!
